Gentlemen –

The pairings for this important match are listed below.  If your name is Collins, McGrath, Jaeger, Cuthbert, Frenzel, Bruss, Saks, Bowring, Schreindl, Stella, Pederson, Reiter, Kartz, Zolandz, Camosy, or Wilkinson, then your name appears below, and we will see you bright eyed and bushy tailed Saturday morning. 

The cost is $31, but you will not pay at the desk.  Currie will prepay for the team.  That means you need to pay our club Treasurer, Tom Condella.  He will not be playing Saturday.  You can mail him a check at 8111 W Wright St, Wauwatosa, 53213.  You can also pay me at Whitnall on Saturday if you prefer, but you will have to find me to do so.  I will not be trying to find you to collect.  It’s your responsibility to pay Tom or me.  Also, note we are teeing off on both 1 and 10, so make sure you go to the proper tee 10 minutes before your start time. 

There is a tough 4 way battle for the title this season.  Here are the standings right now:

We are 13 points behind Brown Deer and the final match will be at their house, so it behooves us to get a lead on them this weekend if we can.  Once again, we are giving up strokes to almost everyone.  Thirteen of our players are giving up an average of almost 8 strokes to their 3 opponents.  This is good, and is a big advantage to us.  It means that we have the better players, and the other guys know it.  Some will be a bit intimidated by that.  When you hit a bad shot, and you will, as we all do, put your club back in the bag and move on.  A calm imperturbable exterior in the face of adversity can also intimidate some opponents.   It’s amazing how many matches turn on the little things like body language, attitude, temperament, confidence.
