9/4 CURRIE CUP! Details, Details and Details

Date of Event September 4th at Currie Park

The "JARDO PUTTING CONTEST" before the Matches begin; please find Jardo on the practice green to qualify for the putting contest.  This is an optional event to enter.  $10 to enter; winner takes all.   After the matches conclude; there is a PUTT OFF on the 18th Green for those who qualify. 

There are total of 45 matches to played.   All matches are GROSS Best Ball Nine Hole matches.   If you match is over; feel free to drive in get some food or drink to get the next match started.   The goal is to get these matches all completed in less than 8 hours time.   This is a fun event, so have fun with your competitors (win you your match quickly) give some putts.   Enjoy the match; pairings have been aligned as close as possible to give both teams and players a fair chance.   Since going to this format; the team totals have been close every year.

There are four different formats you will have a chance to play.

1. 2-man Scramble- both players tee off; select the preferred position to play the next shot; continue until the ball is holed.   Match the holed score to the opposing team.  Write down the score for each team; if the lowest score wins the hole.    

2. 2-man Chapman - Video HOW TO
- Par 4's - both players tee off; walk to your partners ball; hit the second shot into the green; select the preferred position then alternate until the ball is holed.  Match the holed score to the opposing team.  Write down the score for each team; if the lowest score wins the hole.    

3. 2-man Best Ball - play your own ball until the ball is holed.  Match the lowest holed score to the opposing team.  Write down the score for each team; if the lowest score wins the hole.     

4. Individual - this is player vs player as indicated on the pairings sheet.  Match the holed score to the opposing team.  Write down the score for each team; if the lowest score wins the hole.    

Information to be shared with the SCORER is the results of your matches.

If you tie your match you will earn a 1/2 point.
