Gentlemen –
Well, the weather was perfect today, but our performance wasn’t, at least by our standards. We took third place with 204 points, but the 2 teams that were ahead of us in the standings, Oakwood and Whitnall, finished 1st and 2nd with 223 and 222 points respectively. Thus we lost ground for the season. We now stand in third place for the year, 46 points behind Whitnall and 28 behind Oakwood. Brown Deer is 51 behind us.
Four of our guys got over 20 points, Brian Waldera leading the way with 24, Kenny Collins took 23, Rich Saks 22, and Doug Bowring 21. Waldera was our medalist with a nice 76 for 63 net. Collins shot 77.
In individual awards Bob Cristan took a skin with a birdie on the 12th and Larry Anderson was closest in 2 on the 16th hole. These results are all unofficial by the way until Director Pederson reviews them tomorrow.
The next match is at our house and we’ll be looking for a big day to get in contention for the season title.
