Club Championship Results

Tenacious Currie Competitors,

The weekend of reckoning arrived and we were blessed with outstanding weather to play our Currie National Championship. There were some remarkable performances turned in by each flight. I first have to mention Jake Boulware who won the Championship Flight with a stellar round of even par 71 today to go with his 78 from yesterday. Keep up the great playing Jake. The hard work is paying off. The A Flight was won by our Esteemed Club President Jeff Brandt with rounds of 75 and 80. Outstanding golf, Jeff. The B Flight was dominated by Darrell Frenzel who's 81 and 80 scores lapped his flight by 5 shots. The C Flight was won by Jeff Camosy who won in a playoff with Bernie Mattheis, both players finishing at net 6 under par. Jeff is particularly pleased that his name will now appear on the ass side of the trophy. Way to go, Jeff. Congratulations to the winners and all the top performers in each flight. We are paying out the top 4 spots. Skins for the 2 days are available on the web event page and were paid out by assistant pro Ben Ciha. Thanks to Head Pro Scott Walecki and Assistant Ben Ciha for all their hard work and making this an enjoyable and successful weekend for all the competitors. Thanks to course superintendent Matt Sullivan for double cutting the greens and presenting us with a very well maintained golf course. We appreciate it. I hope everybody enjoyed the weekend.
