MCPLA Team Match at Grant Park Golf Course - Results

 Gentlemen –

 

There was an error in the way points were calculated by the computer last week at Greenfield.  The long and short of it is we finished second in the event instead of first.  A few of us lost a point or 2 and a couple of us gained.  Greenfield won the event by 3 points over us with Grant third.  The updated files are listed below.

 Gentlemen –

 The Currie MCPLA Team began the 2023 season in fine fashion, winning the event at Grant in a close one over Greenfield.  We took 127 points to beat Greenfield by just 3.  Oakwood and Grant tied for third place with 115.  The golf course was in excellent shape, and the pins were in some devilish spots, keeping scores on the high side. 

 

Our high point men were Chuck Garbers and yours truly with 17, and Doug Schaefer, playing in his first ever Team Match, with 15.  Mark Cuthbert was our medalist with 81, Bob Cristan shot 83, and Gerry McGrath and Steve Jaeger 84. 

 

We also picked up 2 individual awards, Pete Tarantino winning a skin with a birdie on the second hole, and Steve Jaeger taking closest to the pin on number 5.
