Club Event at Glen Erin Golf Club - Results

Hello gents,

We ended up having a great day, at a course that was in great shape and was given the thumbs up by all who played!!

Lots of good golf was played!!

Winner of the individual net event was Pete Tarantino with a great round of 4 under par!!!

There were a few good gross scores!! Steve Wolter 76, Eric Schreindl 77 and Chuck Silkey 78!!! Nice shooting!!!

There were 5 skins for the day. Steve Jaeger, Scott Brandt and Dominic Carini had one each and Steve Wolter had 2 skins for the day!!!

Eric Schreindl , Brian Pederson, Dominic Carini, Mark Cuthbert and Jim Sauceda all tied at 1 over par and each will receive $15.

MCPLA Club Ryder Cup Challenge at Oakwood Park Golf Course - Results

Gentlemen:

Currie came up tied for 3rd place today at the Milwaukee County Ryder Cup Championship sponsored by the MCPLA. The weather was perfect and the course in pristine shape, but Oakwood dominated in defending their home turf.

2. Greenfield -- 12 points
3T. Brown Deer -- 8 points
3T. Currie -- 8 points
5T. Grant -- 7 points

MCPLA Team Match at Brown Deer Park Golf Course - Results

Gentlemen –

In very tough conditions at Brown Deer today, the Currie men slogged their way through the rain, wind, and cold to take an incredible 163 points, winning the event by 7 points over Greenfield.  Oakwood was a distant third with 109 points.  We now reside in our rightful position of first place for the season with 288 points, 6 ahead of Greenfield.  Oakwood is in third way back with 220.

 

Nine of  our 12 guys scored 11 or more points today and the 3 who didn’t took 9 each.  Mark Cuthbert and Jeff Camosy led the effort with 18 points apiece, our team captain one back with 17.  Dominic Carini was our medalist with 82, Cuthbert just one back with 83.  Doug Bowring took a skin with a birdie on hole 5.  Mark Cuthbert took closest to the pin on 14. 

 

There were some computer scoring  issues today, delaying the results as new Director Tony P acclimates himself to the job.  Thankfully, our own Brian Pederson stepped in to take charge in Tony’s absence, manually entering scores, and making sure everything was copacetic.  Thanks very much to Brian for that.

 

Also, thanks to everyone who came out and played today.  It was not an easy round of golf, yet all of us stuck it out in fine fashion.
