MCPLA Spring Championship at Grant Park Golf Course - Results

Absolutely the best weather I have had for the Spring Championship in my 20 years of being Tournament Director!!! Good course conditions with nice thick rough proved to be a worthy challenge for most of the competitors at Grant Park. Brian Danko did a very good job getting the course ready for the Tournament. Course Pro Mike Zirtzlaff did a good job getting the TV and stand ready for use and hooking us up to use the technology that is available for us. John Kugal was awesome getting the rules put together and keeping everyone moving on Sunday. Starter extraordinaire Glen Jaeger kept a nice timely tee both days!! Spotters Bob Gerszewski, Jack Fleming and Brian McKinley helped keep play moving at a reasonable pace.

Computer software issues plagued us this weekend as Bluegolf in their infinite wisdom, shut us down despite being paid thru May 25th. ..BRILLIANT.. Somehow we were able to do things the old fashioned way and get things done. Thank you to all the players who played and shame on you to all the players who apparently think Grant is too easy to play. Grant held up well as only 1 player broke par!! Congrats to all of the players listed below for your good play. Gift cards will be mailed out to you asap.
