We didn’t quite meet our goal of winning the Team Match on Greenfield’s turf today, but we did do fairly well, holding our season lead. We took third place with 123 points, behind Grants winning total of 131 and Greenfields runner up 128. More importantly, we retained our first place position, now 13 points up on Greenfield and 39 up on third place Whitnall.
High point men today were Doug Bowring, yours truly, and Brian Pedersen with 18, 17, and 16 points respectively. Rich Saks and Dom Carini picked up14 each. Mark Cuthbert was our medalist with a sparkling 77, and Bowring shot a nice 78. We took no flag events, but Bowring won a skin with a birdie on the second hole.
For the season we remain in first place with 380 points. Greenfield is second with 367 and Grant third with 341.
There are just 2 matches to go, at Brown Deer at the end of July and Grant Park in August.
